This kit has all the pieces to weld together the X Member in a boxed 32,32/34 Ford frame. To use this X Member for a Model A, the Model A body will have to be used on a '32 Ford Frame. The 32 Frame will have to be pinched so the body will fit the frame. It can be used in frames that have a 6" tall frame rail as well. The finished piece will give the frame 10 mounting points to the frame rails, 6 points off the top main rails and 4 off the lower main rails. Built with tubing having a .125 wall, the 1.5 OD ERW mild steel tubing is bent to the correct pattern for maximum exhaust clearances. The pictures show the layout of the top and lower main rails. The removable trans mount can be located anywhere between the parallel portion of the lower main rails. There are also 4 vertical pieces that can be mounted along the rails to suit your application. All pieces that mount to the main rails are fishmouthed for a perfect fit. There are 4 pieces that will need to be cut to fit. Two come off the center area of the top main rails, and two shorter ones are the connector pieces that welds to the trans mount, one on each side.
