Cars and guitars, what is more natural than hot rods and music. Both have been passions of mine for 30 plus years. I have added this new division to Cruisin Products with a new display. We will have guitars in our commercial display at upcoming events. We started in Columbus at the GoodGuys Nationals and it was very successful with players stopping by, talking about cars and guitars. Many played the various guitars we had on hand. Several fellow venders introduced themselves and we now have found fellow players to get together with and play at the various events we attend. Our next event will be in Louisville at the NSRA Nationals. We aren't displaying at Louisville, but dropping off and picking up parts. Guitar in hand, I plan on meeting with several vendors we met in Columbus and playing after hours. I had better start practicing! This area will feature acoustic and electric guitars. I will present information about the guitars, playability and maintenance based upon my personal experience. I am by no means an expert. I am not a professional musician. I am a challenged student that enjoys learning more by playing with accomplished players. I will present the experiences, knowledge and good times I have experienced over the years with guitars, and music. I also want to introduce some of the people and some of my favorite places I associate with guitars and music. From Detroit, Indianapolis, Louisville and Nashville I have my favorite haunts that we visit and enjoy the local musical offerings. If you enjoy playing or listening to music, love cars and guitars, we invite you to visit us and tell your friends .

I finally took a couple of pictures of our new display while attending NSRA Nationals North car show in Kalamazoo, MI Sept 10, 11 & 12th, 2010. What we had on display is some of our current inventory for sale. From left to right, all Dreadnought, a Zager ZAD 50-CE, a rare Alvarez model 5052 (late 70s), Sigma DM 4 (built in Korea for Martin Guitars) and a mahogany Martin D-15. These guitars are a good cross section of acoustic guitars, reflected in quality, price and sound. All of my guitars were initially bought with the intention of playing that particular guitar so I knew from my own experience what I liked and disliked about that certain model. Each and every guitar has a character and sound unto itself. Each and every one of them that I have played, even the same make and model will vary in something. Every player will attest to this very fact. You have to play a guitar to find out if you like the sound and playability of that guitar. Reviews of guitars should only be considered a guide and not the final word on a particular make and model. From entry level guitars to expensive (relative term at best), I have found that making changes in the components of a guitar can enhance it's sound and ease of play that equals guitars that cost many times the initial cost of any entry and mid-range guitar. A word of caution for first time upgraders of such guitars. Seek out and find a competent luthier. Ask around and check references if possible. Just because someone calls himself a luthier, doesn't make them one. I have been very fortunate to have found such an individual that is a real luthier. Real in the fact that he builds custom fretted instruments (acoustic and electric guitars, ukuleles, as well as custom electric guitar pickups). Every guitar I have passed to his capable hands and his talents, has been enhanced.
